I fell into journalism by accident and started my career at the top of the ladder as editor of Of Age, a youth magazine in Kolkata. Since then my climb down has taken me to Times of India as assistant editor, and finally The Sun, UK, as sub-editor. Now back in Kolkata after 20 years, I have, by design, founded Small Change, to champion India's non-profit sector. At the moment I am totally engaged in exploring the role empathy can play in steering positive social change
